The challenge

On of our clients was looking for a partner to move a mobile rig from Nienhagen to Moisall in Germany. This was a challenging transport due to the large dimensions (18.1 x 2.5 x 3.8 m) and massive weight (46 tonnes) of the rig.

The journey

We received a request asking if we could perform the transport. After we received all information we made a plan and a proposal, which was approved. 

Our solution

The first step was preparation; we planned the entire transport together with the customer. We arranged the exceptional transport permit, which came through quickly. On the day of the move, we loaded the rig truck on our 2-bed-4 extendable lowloader during the day. After loading our driver had time for his break, so transport could take place at night. We escorted our truck with a pilot car the entire 281km from Nienhagen to Moisall. Without any trouble the mobile rig arrived in Moisall during the night. In the morning we unloaded according to plan.

Results

The client was pleased with the way we handled things. Their mobile rig arrived in Moisall in time for the work that needed to be done there.
