For a drinking water company in the Netherlands we were asked to move their sand washing machine. This machine is cleaning the sand filters which are used for cleaning the water in the natural water depots in the coastal area for fresh drinking water. Good maintained and reliable equipment is a must have at these sites, because an oil spill can cause a mayor problem.

 

The sand washing machine had to be replaced to another water cleaning site. For loading a 130 ton mobile crane was needed at the site, 2 step deck trailers and a lowloader for transporting this machine. For unloading and reinstallation a 45 ton mobile crane was used.  Lifting plans where made, road permits where applied for and project plan was written. 

 

Because off the well done project preparation, the highly specified and maintained equipment of Lubbers, the machine was moved without any problems and could start cleaning sand the next day.
